Useful Screen Capture & Tutorial/presentation creation softwares
MS Paint often is the handy tool for Windows users to capture screen shots and make minor modifications. But the modifications dont look professional as well. Since MS Paint is not a versatile tool, the amount of work involved in modifications are aplenty too.
Here is yet another free sofware, Faststone Capture(http://www.faststone.org/index.htm) which works wonders. I have been using this tool for about 6 months and has become my favorite for what it does (Screen capture).
Note: Though I dont advocate, cracks are available aplenty for this shareware on the internet.
TUTORIAL AND PRESENTATION CREATION SOFTWARE:
This tool which I am gonna discuss aims at Tutorial/Presentation based on screen capture/ screen actions recording.
Wink(http://www.debugmode.com/wink/)is a Tutorial and Presentation creation software, primarily aimed at creating tutorials on how to use software (like a tutor for MS-Word/Excel etc). Using Wink you can capture screenshots, add explanations boxes, buttons, titles etc and generate a highly effective tutorial for your users.

Google introduces Chrome, a faster, easier & safer web browser
The later looks very promising though. Google claims Chrome to be a faster, easier & safer browser.
From the feature list, it is evident that Chrome is an open source product .
- New conceptualization of multi-tabbed browsing. Each tab works as a different process ( A counter to the classic Firefox problem, more the tabs you have, more the possibility of crash).
- The best part is that the V8 javascript engine used can be plugged into other browsers like Firefox.

Topic for the forthcoming week - Enterprise 2.0.
My posts in the forthcoming week will cover "Enterprise 2.0 - Building a socially networked office using some free tools".
These free tools include WIKIs, Blogs, Social Forums, Instant Messaging etc.
Helloworld.
The world of Information Technology (IT) today is so immense, vast and enriched that it is literally impossible to master (or) get to know the entire spectrum. Or I would say, when you start walking towards the IT horizon, with every step, the horizon seems to remain as far as it was earlier.
Hence I decided that instead of trying to conquer things, it would be better to understand the basics and the basis of evolution in this industry.
This blog is all about the IT world I live in. Technologies, Best practices and case studies I relate to, will be published periodically.
